WHY DOES IT FAIL?
Volkswagen ABS fault symptoms
Spotting a Volkswagen ABS fault in time can prevent accidents and bigger repairs. The Volkswagen ABS light on in the instrument cluster is the warning we hear about most often at the workshop, but it rarely comes alone. The most common signs include:
ABS warning light on
The Volkswagen ABS warning light stays on in the instrument cluster, often together with the ESP light.
Speedometer failure
On many Volkswagen models, the ABS control unit manages the speed signal; if it fails, the speedometer stops working.
Unpredictable braking
The braking system does not respond as it should. DTC reading and testing of every hydraulic and electronic channel.
Hard brake pedal
You notice strong resistance when pressing the pedal, which indicates a fault in your Volkswagen’s ABS pump.
