NAVARA MODULE
ABS NISSAN NAVARA
We carry out Nissan Navara ABS repair by returning your own control unit remanufactured, with the hydraulic unit and the circuit board restored, without relying on a breaker’s yard spare of uncertain compatibility. We cover both generations of this pick-up: the D40 (2005-2015), with 2.5 dCi and 3.0 V6 engines, and the NP300 (from 2015), the direct successor in terms of the ABS unit’s electronic architecture. Whether your fault is in the D40 or in the more recent Nissan NP300 ABS module, the diagnosis and repair process is identical. Outside Europe this model is sold as the Nissan Frontier, with the same module under another name — which is why we also fix the Nissan Frontier ABS with no technical difference whatsoever. This is the Nissan Navara version for which we repair the ABS module. If you cannot find your car, contact us and we will help you.

WHY DOES IT FAIL?
NISSAN NAVARA ABS FAULT symptoms
The Nissan Navara does not publish an open catalogue of ABS fault codes for the user: the fault is identified by the symptoms it causes when driving. As a pick-up subjected to loads, towing and off-road use, wear is greater than in a city car, especially in Nissan Navara D40 ABS units with higher mileage. The most common symptoms are:
ABS warning light permanently on
The ABS light stays on in the instrument cluster and does not go out even when you restart the engine, a sign that the Navara’s control unit has detected an internal fault that needs checking.
Harder brake pedal or irregular pedal travel
The pedal sinks further than usual or is harder to press due to a loss of pressure in the hydraulic circuit, something particularly noticeable when the load bed is carrying cargo or you are towing a trailer.
The vehicle pulls to one side when braking
One wheel brakes earlier or harder than the others, an imbalance that is more noticeable in the Navara because of the weight distribution between the front axle and the load bed.
VDC or traction control warning light on
It comes on together with the ABS light because the Navara’s VDC stability control depends on the same electro-hydraulic unit.
Intermittent wheel sensor fault
Mud, dust and water crossings encourage corrosion of the wheels’ magnetic ring: the Nissan Navara ABS sensor and the Nissan NP300 ABS sensor are the components that give the most erratic readings after intensive off-road use.
The ABS does not intervene in emergency braking
The wheels lock under hard braking because the system has stopped working, increasing the stopping distance — a greater risk in a heavier vehicle carrying a load.
