5 SERIES MODULE
BMW 5 SERIES ABS
We repair the BMW 5 Series ABS module with full remanufacturing of the hydraulic unit and the internal electronics. We restore your own BMW E39 ABS control unit on any generation, from the classic E34 to the E39, the E60/E61 and the F07, F10 and F11 bodies, including the diesel versions (BMW 530d ABS) and the M5 ABS sports variants, with no need to code it or hunt for a breaker’s yard spare of uncertain compatibility. These are the BMW 5 Series versions for which we repair the ABS module. Each one may be fitted with a different module: choose yours and we will show you the one it uses. If you cannot find your car, contact us and we will help you.
We can't find that model. Escríbenos with the module's part number and we'll tell you if we can repair it.

WHY DOES IT FAIL?
BMW 5 SERIES ABS FAULT symptoms
The BMW 5 Series has no catalogue of ABS fault codes of its own visible to the user: the fault is identified by the symptoms it causes. The most common on this model, including the well-known BMW E39 ABS fault, are:
ABS and traction control warning lights on
They light up at the same time on the instrument panel, the most characteristic symptom of the BMW E39 ABS fault.
Speedometer suddenly dropping
The speedometer needle drops suddenly or reads erratically due to loss of signal from the wheel sensors.
Erratic automatic gear changes
On versions with an automatic gearbox, jerks or harsh shifts when the ABS module loses communication with the transmission control unit.
Loss of assistance in emergency braking
As a precaution the system disables the ABS and stability control (DSC), leaving the wheels at risk of locking on wet road surfaces.
Intermittent communication faults
Phantom errors caused by voltage drops from the battery or alternator, which can be mistaken for a total failure of the module.
Flashing brake warning light
The brake fault warning light comes on intermittently, especially when cold or on starting.
