FORD ESCAPE MODULE
ABS FORD ESCAPE
We repair the ABS module of the Ford Escape and return your own remanufactured unit, with the hydraulic unit and circuit board restored. Our Ford Escape ABS repair service specialises in the second generation of this SUV, built between 2008 and 2012: the Ford Escape 2009 ABS module and the Ford Escape 2010 ABS module are the units we receive most often in the workshop. We also repair the rest of the range up to 2014, with no need to recode the control unit or rely on a breaker’s yard part of uncertain compatibility. These are the Ford Escape generations for which we repair the ABS module. Each one is fitted with a different module: choose yours and we’ll show you the one it uses. If you can’t find your car, contact us and we’ll help you.
We can't find that model. Escríbenos with the module's part number and we'll tell you if we can repair it.

WHY DOES IT FAIL?
Symptoms of a FAULTY FORD ESCAPE ABS
The Ford Escape has no dedicated catalogue of ABS fault codes visible to the user: the fault is detected through the symptoms it causes, most often on the Ford Escape 2011 ABS module and the Ford Escape 2012 ABS module, although it can also appear on the Ford Escape 2013 ABS module and the Ford Escape 2014 ABS module. Any Ford Escape 2012 ABS fault, or one from another year of the range, usually shows some of these symptoms:
ABS warning light permanently on
The ABS warning light stays on in the instrument cluster and does not go off when you restart the engine. Before suspecting the module, it is worth checking the brake fluid level and the battery condition, as low voltage can switch the warning light on without there being a real fault in the control unit.
Hard brake pedal or irregular pedal travel
The pedal intermittently sinks further than normal or is harder to press, a sign that the control unit is no longer managing the pressure in the hydraulic circuit correctly.
Inconsistent braking between wheels
One wheel brakes earlier or harder than the others, which is especially noticeable in an SUV that is heavier than a saloon when it is carrying several occupants or a load.
Traction control or stability warning light on
It comes on together with the ABS light because both systems share the same electro-hydraulic control unit on the Escape.
Corroded connectors due to the vehicle’s age
On the Ford Escape 2010 ABS module and the Ford Escape 2012 ABS module it is common for the connectors to corrode or for the control unit’s internal components to degrade with the years and miles, causing faults that do not always recur consistently.
The ABS does not intervene in emergency braking
The wheels lock under hard braking because the system has stopped working, which increases the braking distance, especially in an SUV as heavy as the Escape.
