CIVIC MODULE
ABS HONDA CIVIC
We repair the ABS module of your Honda Civic and return your own remanufactured control unit, with the circuit board and internal components restored. The Civic has used different modules depending on the generation: the 2007 Honda Civic ABS module and the 2008 Honda Civic ABS module belong to the eighth generation, while the 2012 Honda Civic ABS module and the 2013 Honda Civic ABS module already belong to the ninth, with a different control unit part number. That is why identifying the year — and if possible the exact part number of your control unit — is the first step before requesting your Honda Civic ABS repair. We always work with your own unit, with no need to recode the control unit or rely on a breaker’s yard part of uncertain compatibility. This is the Honda Civic version for which we repair the ABS module. If you can’t find your car, contact us and we’ll help you.

WHY DOES IT FAIL?
Symptoms of a FAULTY HONDA CIVIC ABS
Honda does not publish a dedicated list of ABS fault codes for the Civic for the user: diagnosis relies on the symptoms the vehicle shows, both on 2007, 2008 and 2009 units and on 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 ones. These are the most common:
ABS warning light permanently on
The ABS warning light on the Civic stays on in the instrument cluster after several engine starts, a sign that the control unit has logged an internal fault that does not clear by itself.
Hard brake pedal or irregular pedal travel
The brake pedal becomes harder or its usual travel changes, a sign of a loss of pressure in the hydraulic circuit managed by the Civic’s ABS module.
Uneven braking between the wheels
It is one of the symptoms most associated with faulty Honda Civic ABS brakes: the car pulls slightly to one side when braking because one wheel receives more pressure than the others.
Traction or stability control warning light on together with the ABS light
Both warning lights come on at the same time because the traction control and the ABS on the Civic share the same electro-hydraulic control unit.
Intermittent faults on units from 2007 to 2009
On the 2007 Honda Civic ABS, the 2008 Honda Civic ABS and the 2009 Honda Civic ABS it is common for the module connectors to corrode over the years, causing faults that do not always recur consistently.
Loss of communication on units from 2012 to 2015
On the 2012 Honda Civic ABS module, the 2013 Honda Civic ABS module, the 2014 Honda Civic ABS module and the 2015 Honda Civic ABS module, the most common fault is a loss of communication between the ABS control unit and the rest of the vehicle, which switches the warning light on without warning.
