CORSA MODULE
ABS OPEL CORSA
The Opel Corsa is one of the small cars that most often come into our workshop for Opel Corsa ABS repair: we rebuild your own control unit, without replacing it with a second-hand part, and return the hydraulic unit and the circuit board to you in good order. We work on both the C and D body styles, in petrol versions — the common Opel Corsa 1.2 ABS — as well as the 1.3 CDTI diesel, and the vehicle keeps its original coding and chassis number. This is the Opel Corsa version for which we repair the ABS module. If you cannot find your car, contact us and we will help you.

WHY DOES IT FAIL?
OPEL CORSA ABS FAULT symptoms
On the Opel Corsa there is no public table of fault codes for the user: an Opel Corsa ABS fault is identified by what the car does and what the instrument cluster shows, not by a code you can look up yourself. These are the most frequent warnings:
ABS light on together with the ESP warning light
The Opel Corsa ABS light stays permanently on in the instrument cluster, usually together with the ESP or traction control light, and does not go out when you restart the engine.
Warning to check the brake system in the instrument cluster
The instrument cluster shows a fault or brake system check message, even though the pedal responds normally and the car brakes with no apparent problem.
The ABS system switches off for safety
When an anomaly is detected, the Opel Corsa’s control unit deactivates the anti-lock function as a precaution: conventional braking still works, but without ABS assistance under hard braking.
Circuit board wear in the Opel Corsa D ABS
In the D generation, moisture and engine vibration end up damaging the components on the circuit board of the Opel Corsa D ABS module, causing the intermittent fault typical of these units.
Worn relays and pump motor in the Opel Corsa C ABS
In the older units, the Opel Corsa C ABS usually fails due to wear of the power supply relays or of the hydraulic pump’s electric motor itself.
Specific fault in the Opel Corsa D 1.3 CDTI ABS module
In the diesel versions, the heat generated next to the 1.3 CDTI engine speeds up the deterioration of the internal solder joints of the Opel Corsa D 1.3 CDTI ABS module, a problem that can also appear, though less often, in the petrol Opel Corsa 1.2 ABS.
