CLIO MODULE
RENAULT CLIO ABS
We repair the ABS module of your Renault Clio and return your own remanufactured ABS/ESP control unit, with the hydraulic unit and circuit board restored. Our Renault Clio ABS repair service covers every generation: the original Clio (1990-1998), the very widespread Renault Clio 2 ABS (1998-2012), the Renault Clio 3 ABS (2005-2014) and the most recent versions, Clio 4 and Clio 5, with diesel and petrol engines, with no need to recode the control unit or rely on a breaker’s yard spare of uncertain compatibility. This is the Renault Clio version for which we repair the ABS module. If you can’t find your car, contact us and we’ll help you.

WHY DOES IT FAIL?
RENAULT CLIO ABS FAULT Symptoms
The Renault Clio has no catalogue of ABS fault codes visible to the user: the fault is identified by the symptoms it causes day to day. If you want to check the Renault Clio ABS yourself before going to the garage, these are the most common, especially on higher-mileage cars:
ABS warning light permanently on
The ABS warning light stays on in the instrument cluster and doesn’t go out even when you restart the engine, a sign that the control unit has detected a persistent internal fault.
Harder brake pedal or irregular pedal travel
The pedal sinks further than usual or is harder to press, due to a loss of pressure or efficiency in the ABS hydraulic circuit.
The car pulls to one side when braking
One wheel brakes earlier or harder than the rest, which is especially noticeable on wet surfaces or under sudden braking.
ESP or traction control warning light on at the same time
It comes on together with the ABS light because both systems share the same electro-hydraulic control unit in the Clio.
Intermittent fault in a wheel speed sensor
A corroded connector or a damaged sensor causes erratic readings and makes the warning light come on intermittently, especially on older Clios.
The ABS does not intervene in emergency braking
The wheels lock when braking hard because the system has stopped working, increasing the braking distance.
