MÉGANE MODULE
RENAULT MÉGANE ABS
We repair the Renault Megane ABS module and return your own remanufactured ABS/ESP control unit, with the hydraulic unit and circuit board restored. Our Renault Megane ABS repair service covers the three generations most common on the road: the Mégane 1 (1996-2003), where the typical fault is a Renault Megane 1 ABS with connectors corroded by the age of the vehicle; the Mégane 2 (2002-2009), the generation with the largest volume of work, where the Renault Megane 2 ABS module often fails due to moisture in the engine bay; and the Mégane 3 (2008-2016), which is fitted with a Renault Megane 3 ABS module with a different part number and generally arrives with lower mileage. We work on both petrol and dCi diesel engines, with no need to recode the control unit or rely on a breaker’s yard spare of uncertain compatibility. This is the Renault Mégane version for which we repair the ABS module. If you can’t find your car, contact us and we’ll help you.
We can't find that model. Escríbenos with the module's part number and we'll tell you if we can repair it.

WHY DOES IT FAIL?
RENAULT MÉGANE ABS FAULT Symptoms
The Renault Mégane has no catalogue of ABS fault codes visible to the user: the fault is identified by the symptoms it causes day to day, especially on Mégane 2 cars that have already clocked up quite a few years of use. If you want to check the Renault Megane ABS yourself before going to the garage, these are the most common symptoms:
ABS warning light permanently on
On third-generation cars, the Renault Megane 3 ABS warning light stays on steadily in the instrument cluster and doesn’t go out after restarting the engine, a sign that the control unit has detected a persistent internal fault.
The ABS switches off without warning
On some third-generation cars, a Renault Megane 3 ABS fault makes the system switch off suddenly without any gradual warning light coming on first. It’s worth checking the relevant fuse first, because if it blows again it usually points to an internal fault in the module.
Harder brake pedal or irregular pedal travel
The pedal sinks further than normal or is harder to press, a common Renault Megane 2 ABS symptom caused by a loss of pressure in the control unit’s hydraulic circuit.
ESP warning light on together with the ABS light
It comes on at the same time as the ABS warning light because both systems share the same electro-hydraulic control unit; a Renault Megane ABS fault in this component usually affects both warning lights at once.
Intermittent fault due to corroded connectors
On older, higher-mileage cars, especially the Mégane 1 and Mégane 2, the ABS control unit connectors can corrode, causing faults that don’t always recur consistently.
Full replacement isn’t always necessary
Before considering replacing a Renault Megane 3 ABS module with a new one, in most cases it’s enough to repair the damaged component inside the control unit, whether electronic, mechanical or hydraulic.
