CAMRY MODULE
ABS TOYOTA CAMRY
We repair the ABS module on your Toyota Camry and return your own remanufactured control unit, without relying on breaker’s yard parts of uncertain compatibility. Toyota Camry ABS repair is one of the most common enquiries in our workshop, with a permanently lit ABS warning light as the most frequent reason for a visit. We work on your vehicle’s own electronic part number, so a Camry ABS fault is repaired without losing the calibration or mileage already linked to the original control unit. In English-speaking forums this fault is sometimes searched for as “abs module toyota camry 2007”, but the diagnosis and repair are the same for any Camry sold in Spain. This is the Toyota Camry version whose ABS module we repair. If you can’t find your car, contact us and we’ll help you.

WHY DOES IT FAIL?
TOYOTA CAMRY ABS FAULT symptoms
The Toyota Camry does not offer the user a list of ABS fault codes that can be read without diagnostic equipment: the fault is identified by the symptoms it causes at the wheel and in the brake pedal. A 2007 Toyota Camry ABS module and a 2009 Toyota Camry ABS module fail in similar ways, and the same goes for a 2007 Toyota Camry ABS module taken from another unit: the symptoms we describe below are common to the whole range, regardless of the year of manufacture.
ABS warning light permanently on
The warning light does not go off when the engine is restarted: this normally indicates an internal fault on the module’s circuit board, unlike an intermittent fault caused by a loose or corroded connector.
Intermittent ABS warning light
The warning light comes on and goes off with no clear pattern, almost always because of a loose connector or an oxidised connection on the module, before becoming a permanent fault.
The warning light does not go off even after disconnecting the battery
Disconnecting the battery does not clear a fault already logged in the module’s memory: diagnostic equipment is needed to read and, where appropriate, clear the stored code.
Before suspecting the module, check fuses and connectors
Many faults that look like ABS control unit faults start with a blown fuse or a corroded connector; it is worth ruling these out first before assuming the module is faulty.
The pedal feels harder or vibrates for no apparent reason
When the module activates the anti-lock system without any real sudden braking, the driver feels a vibration in the pedal with no apparent explanation, one of the clearest warnings of an ABS that is starting to fail.
Major MOT defect because of the ABS warning light
An illuminated ABS warning light counts as a major defect at the vehicle roadworthiness inspection, so the fault has to be fixed before you can pass it.
