Same manufacturer, two different modules
Mercedes does not fit the same ABS to all its cars: depending on the model and year, yours has one module or another.
-
Standard ABS module
The standard ABS fitted to most Mercedes models: hydraulic unit, pump and control unit in a single block. We remanufacture it in full and keep its original coding.

SBC module
The electro-hydraulic brake Mercedes-Benz developed with Bosch: the pedal is a sensor and braking comes from an electric pump with an accumulator at 140-160 bar. It also manages ABS, ESP, BAS and ASR.

How to tell which one you have: find your car in the list of models above; each card shows the module it has. If in doubt, send us a photo of the module's part number and we will tell you which it is.

WHY DOES IT FAIL?
Symptoms of a Mercedes ABS fault
Spotting Mercedes ABS problems in time can prevent accidents and bigger repairs. The most common signs include:
ABS warning light on
The orange or red light stays on in the instrument cluster, usually next to the ESP warning light: on the Mercedes Benz ESP ABS.
Speedometer failure
On many Mercedes models, the ABS control unit manages the speed signal; if it fails, the speedometer stops working.
Unpredictable braking
The braking system does not respond as it should. DTC reading and testing of every hydraulic and electronic channel.
Hard brake pedal
You notice strong resistance when pressing the pedal, which indicates a fault in your Mercedes’s ABS pump.
