WHY DOES IT FAIL?
Symptoms of a Jaguar ABS fault
Spotting a Jaguar ABS fault in time can prevent accidents and bigger repairs. The Jaguar ABS warning light on the dashboard is the warning we see most often at the workshop, but it rarely comes alone: a Jaguar ABS sensor that stops sending a signal, or a control unit that misreads the one it receives, can show up in several ways. The most common signs of a faulty ABS on a Jaguar are:
ABS warning light on
The Jaguar ABS warning light stays on in the instrument cluster, sometimes together with the brake warning light.
Several sensors with no signal at once
The scanner logs code C2778 and it looks as if all the sensors have failed at once, when the source is usually a single power supply fault inside the control unit.
Unpredictable braking
The braking system does not respond as it should. DTC reading and testing of every hydraulic and electronic channel.
Loss of communication on the CAN network
The diagnostic equipment logs U1027 and your Jaguar’s ABS module is isolated from the rest of the vehicle, with symptoms of a brake fault even though the unit is not damaged.
