WHY DOES IT FAIL?
Symptoms of an Aston Martin ABS fault
Spotting an Aston Martin ABS fault in time can prevent accidents and bigger repairs. The Aston Martin ABS warning light on the dashboard is the warning we hear about most at the workshop, but it rarely comes alone: an Aston Martin ABS sensor that stops sending a signal, or a control unit that misreads the one it receives, can show up in several ways. The most common signs of a faulty ABS on an Aston Martin are:
ABS warning light on
The Aston Martin ABS warning light stays on in the instrument cluster, sometimes together with the brake light or the traction control (TCS) warning.
Uncorrelated stability sensors
The scanner logs code C1281 and no sensor shows up as faulty on its own: the VSES module cannot relate the wheel, yaw and steering signals to each other.
Unpredictable braking
The braking system does not respond as it should. DTC reading and testing of every hydraulic and electronic channel.
Loss of communication on the CAN network
The diagnostic tool logs U0121 and the ABS module in your Aston Martin is cut off from the rest of the vehicle, with symptoms of a brake fault even though the unit is not damaged.
