WHY DOES IT FAIL?
Symptoms of a Lynk & Co ABS fault
Spotting a Lynk & Co ABS fault in time can prevent accidents and bigger repairs. The Lynk & Co ABS warning light on the dashboard is the warning we hear about most at the workshop, but it rarely comes alone: a Lynk & Co ABS sensor that stops sending a signal, or a control unit that misreads the one it receives, can show up in several ways. The most common signs of a faulty ABS on a Lynk & Co are:
ABS warning light on
The Lynk & Co ABS warning light stays on in the instrument cluster, often together with the ESP and brake warnings; all three can appear at once even though the cause is a single fault inside the control unit.
Internal ABS module fault
The scanner logs code C0550, an internal ECU fault in the control unit’s hardware or memory, which points to the unit’s internal electronics and not to a sensor or external wiring.
Unpredictable braking
The braking system does not respond as it should. DTC reading and testing of every hydraulic and electronic channel.
Loss of communication on the CAN network
The diagnostic tool logs U0073 and the ABS module in your Lynk & Co is cut off from the vehicle’s communication network, with symptoms of a brake fault even though the unit is not damaged.
