SUPERB MODULE

SKODA SUPERB ABS

We offer Skoda Superb ABS repair and return your own remanufactured control unit, with the circuit board and hydraulic unit restored to factory condition. We work on the Škoda Superb built from 2001 to the present day, across its four generations (Superb I, II, III and IV), in both saloon and Combi (estate) body styles, with diesel and petrol engines, with no need to recode the control unit or rely on a breaker’s yard spare of uncertain compatibility. This is the Skoda Superb version for which we repair the ABS module. If you can’t find your car, contact us and we’ll help you.

We can't find that model. Escríbenos with the module's part number and we'll tell you if we can repair it.

WHY DOES IT FAIL?

SKODA SUPERB ABS FAULT Symptoms

The Skoda Superb ABS module doesn’t show the driver a direct fault code: the way to detect a problem is to pay attention to the symptoms that appear on the road. These are the most common on the Škoda Superb, especially once the car has some age and mileage:

ABS warning light permanently on

The ABS warning light stays on in the instrument cluster and doesn’t go out after restarting the engine, a clear warning that the control unit has detected an internal fault in your Skoda Superb’s module.

Greater wear due to the size and weight of the saloon

As a large saloon with powerful engines, the Superb’s hydraulic unit and wheel sensors work harder than in a compact car, which over time speeds up the wear of certain internal components of the module.

Hard brake pedal or irregular pedal travel

You’ll notice the pedal is harder than normal to press or its travel changes from one stop to the next, the result of a loss of pressure in the ABS module’s hydraulic circuit.

Inconsistent braking between wheels

One wheel grips earlier or harder than the rest when braking, an imbalance that is especially noticeable on wet roads or under sudden braking.

ESP warning light on together with the ABS light

On the Skoda Superb, the ABS and ESP share the same electro-hydraulic control unit, so an internal fault usually turns both warning lights on at once.

Intermittent faults due to connectors corroding with age

Over the years and the miles, the ABS module connectors on your Skoda Superb can corrode or the internal components of the control unit can degrade, causing a fault that doesn’t always recur consistently, especially on cars from older generations.

Nuestro cliente y nosotros estamos infinitamente agradecidos.

Well, 3 months ago they repaired a Seat León module for me, and from the very first moment they treated me in a super professional way. They were quick with the repair and practical with collecting the part and delivering it. No problems so far, I recommend them one hundred per cent.

SKODA SUPERB ABS repair FAQS

First of all, it is worth checking the brake fluid level and the condition of the battery, as low voltage can activate the ABS warning light without there being a real fault in the module. If these points are fine and the warning light persists, the fault is most likely in the control unit itself or in one of the wheel speed sensors.

Yes, the greater weight of the vehicle, especially as it is a large saloon with powerful engines, makes the hydraulic unit and the wheel sensors work somewhat harder than in a lighter car, which over time can speed up the wear of certain internal components of the module.

Yes, it’s quite common: over the years and the miles, the ABS module connectors can corrode or the internal components of the control unit can degrade, causing faults that don’t always recur consistently. It’s one of the most frequent faults on older generations of the Superb.

As well as the ABS warning light on the dashboard, you may notice a brake pedal with irregular travel or that is harder than normal, inconsistent braking between wheels, or the ESP warning light on at the same time, since both systems usually share the same control unit.

Repairing the original module is usually the safest and cheapest option. Second-hand modules are not always correctly coded for your specific vehicle, whereas the repair returns your own module working like new, with a warranty and no compatibility problems.

Repairing the ABS module on your Skoda Superb costs roughly a quarter of what buying a new one would. What’s more, at Nito Motor you pay nothing upfront: you only pay for the service once the unit has been checked and repaired, with a 1-year warranty included.

The usual turnaround is 24 to 48 hours (working days) from when we receive the module. All our repairs include a 1-year warranty, and thanks to our “repair first, pay later” model you take no risk: you only pay when the unit has been tested and is working.
