YARIS MODULE
ABS TOYOTA YARIS
We repair the ABS module of your Toyota Yaris and return your own remanufactured control unit, without relying on breaker’s yard parts of uncertain compatibility. Toyota Yaris ABS repair is one of the most common enquiries we receive, especially on the second generation (XP90), built between 2005 and 2011, which accounts for a large share of the 2007 Toyota Yaris ABS and 2008 Toyota Yaris ABS units that come in for diagnosis because of their ageing connectors. The Yaris ABS works together with the traction control and the stability control on the versions fitted with them, so a fault in the control unit can affect more than one system at once. We always work on your vehicle’s own control unit so as not to lose the calibration or the mileage already linked to the original unit. This is the Toyota Yaris version for which we repair the ABS module. If you can’t find your car, contact us and we’ll help you.
We can't find that model. Escríbenos with the module's part number and we'll tell you if we can repair it.

WHY DOES IT FAIL?
FAULT symptoms TOYOTA YARIS ABS
The Toyota Yaris doesn’t show the driver a list of ABS fault codes without connecting diagnostic equipment either, so the fault is identified by how the vehicle behaves: by the Toyota Yaris ABS light on in the instrument cluster, by how the brake pedal responds and, in many cases, because the traction or stability control warning light comes on together with the ABS one. Before considering how to change a Toyota Yaris ABS sensor yourself, it is worth having a diagnosis with an OBD reader to confirm whether the fault really lies in the sensor or in the control unit itself, as replacing the wrong part doesn’t solve the problem.
ABS warning light on due to a low battery
On the Yaris, insufficient battery voltage can trigger the ABS warning light in the instrument cluster without there being a real fault in the module, so it is worth checking the battery and the brake fluid level before suspecting the control unit.
Hard brake pedal or irregular pedal travel
A brake pedal that is harder than normal or has irregular travel is one of the most frequent symptoms of a Yaris ABS fault, together with the warning light itself being on in the instrument cluster.
Inconsistent braking between wheels
When the module or one of its wheel speed sensors fails, the brake distribution between the four wheels can stop being even, a symptom that is noticeable above all under sudden braking.
Traction or stability warning light on together with the ABS
On the Yaris versions fitted with traction or stability control, both systems share the control unit with the ABS, so a fault can turn on several warning lights at once in the instrument cluster.
Connectors corroded by age
Over the years, the ABS module connectors can corrode or the internal components of the control unit can degrade, a frequent fault on 2007 Toyota Yaris ABS and 2008 Toyota Yaris ABS units that already have quite a high mileage.
Intermittent fault that doesn’t always recur
Faults caused by internal degradation of the control unit don’t always appear consistently, which can make the ABS warning light go out and come back on with no apparent pattern.
