PATRIOT MODULE
ABS JEEP PATRIOT
Our Jeep Patriot ABS repair service returns your own remanufactured control unit, with the hydraulic unit and circuit board restored, instead of replacing the module with a new or second-hand one. We work on all units built between 2006 and 2017: the Jeep Patriot 2008 ABS module, the Jeep Patriot 2010 ABS module and the Jeep Patriot 2014 ABS module share the same basic electronics, so we repair any year with no need to recode the unit or rely on a breaker’s yard part of uncertain compatibility. This is the Jeep Patriot version for which we repair the ABS module. If you can’t find your car, contact us and we’ll help you.

WHY DOES IT FAIL?
Symptoms of a FAULTY JEEP PATRIOT ABS
Jeep does not publish a dedicated list of ABS fault codes for the Patriot accessible to the driver: the fault is identified through the symptoms it causes, especially on older units and on vehicles fitted with the Freedom Drive II system that are frequently used on dirt tracks or in the countryside. The most common Jeep Patriot ABS symptoms are:
The ABS warning light does not go off
The ABS light in the instrument cluster stays on even after restarting the engine, a sign that the control unit has logged an internal fault.
The brake pedal feels hard or has irregular travel
You need to press harder or the pedal travel changes from one braking manoeuvre to the next, due to a loss of pressure in the hydraulic circuit managed by the control unit.
The vehicle pulls to one side when braking
One wheel grips before the others during braking, an effect that is noticeable above all under sudden braking or on wet surfaces.
The traction or stability warning light also comes on
On the Patriot this warning light usually accompanies the ABS one, as both systems share the same electro-hydraulic control unit, including versions with the Freedom Drive II system.
The fault appears after driving on dirt tracks or fording water
Off-road use of the Patriot exposes the wheel sensors and the control unit itself to vibration, mud and moisture which, over the years, can loosen connections or damage internal electronic components.
The ABS does not intervene in an emergency stop
The wheels lock despite braking hard because the system has stopped working, which lengthens the braking distance and compromises safety.
