LANCER MODULE
ABS MITSUBISHI LANCER
We repair the ABS module on your Mitsubishi Lancer by returning your own unit remanufactured, with the hydraulic unit and the circuit board restored. We cover every generation of the Lancer, with particular attention to the eighth generation, where the 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer ABS and the 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer ABS module account for most of the faults caused by vibration and thermal stress, with petrol and diesel engines. If you need a Mitsubishi Lancer ABS repair, we keep your chassis number (VIN) intact for direct plug & play fitting, with no recoding and no reliance on a breaker’s yard part of uncertain compatibility. This is the Mitsubishi Lancer version for which we repair the ABS module. If you can’t find your car, contact us and we’ll help you.
We can't find that model. Escríbenos with the module's part number and we'll tell you if we can repair it.

WHY DOES IT FAIL?
MITSUBISHI LANCER ABS FAULT symptoms
The Mitsubishi Lancer doesn’t show the driver a catalogue of ABS fault codes: the fault is detected by the symptoms it causes, which become more frequent the higher the vehicle’s mileage and age. The most common, especially on Mitsubishi Lancer ABS units from 2008 onwards, are:
ABS and ASC/ESP warning lights permanently on
The ABS and stability control (ASC/ESP) warning lights stay on in the instrument cluster and a service warning may appear on the display, a sign that the control unit has disabled the system due to a serious fault.
Less safe braking in corners or on wet tarmac
Without the assistance of the Lancer ABS, the wheels can lock under emergency braking in the wet or in a corner, increasing the risk of skidding and losing directional control.
Warning or service message in the instrument cluster
Alongside the ABS warning light, the dashboard display may show a service or fault warning, confirming that the system has switched itself off as a precaution after detecting an internal error.
Wheel sensor giving erratic readings
A worn magnetic ring or damaged wiring causes incorrect speed readings on a particular wheel, making the warning light come on intermittently before it stays on permanently.
Micro-cracks on the module’s circuit board
Constant vibration and the heat of the engine bay gradually cause micro-fractures in the internal solder joints of the circuit board, interrupting communication between the Mitsubishi Lancer ABS module and the main control unit.
The ABS does not intervene in an emergency stop
Although the conventional brakes still work, the system no longer intervenes to prevent the wheels from locking, increasing the braking distance just when it is needed most.
