QASHQAI MODULE
ABS NISSAN QASHQAI
We carry out Nissan Qashqai ABS repair by returning your own control unit remanufactured, with the hydraulic unit and the circuit board restored, without relying on a breaker’s yard spare of uncertain compatibility. This crossover was built in several generations, each with its own module: the Nissan Qashqai J10 ABS module (2006-2013) is the unit we receive most often at the workshop, followed by the second-generation J11 (2013-2021). Before suspecting the control unit, it is worth checking the relevant Nissan Qashqai ABS fuse, as a blown fuse can cause the same symptoms as an internal fault; but if it blows again after being replaced, the fault usually lies in the module itself. This is the Nissan Qashqai version for which we repair the ABS module. If you cannot find your car, contact us and we will help you.

WHY DOES IT FAIL?
NISSAN QASHQAI ABS FAULT symptoms
The Nissan Qashqai does not provide the user with an accessible built-in ABS fault code reader, so the most reliable way to detect a fault is to pay attention to the symptoms when driving. The most common symptoms of a faulty Nissan Qashqai ABS are:
ABS warning light permanently on
The ABS light stays on in the instrument cluster and does not go out even when you restart the engine. Sometimes the cause is simply a dirty Nissan Qashqai ABS wheel sensor or damaged wiring, but if the warning light persists after checking it, the fault usually lies in the control unit itself.
Harder brake pedal or irregular pedal travel
The pedal sinks further than usual or is harder to press due to a loss of pressure in the hydraulic circuit, one of the symptoms most often reported by owners of a higher-mileage Qashqai.
Inconsistent braking between wheels
One wheel brakes earlier or harder than the others, an imbalance that is especially noticeable under hard braking or on wet roads.
Strange noises from the pump or hydraulic unit
A humming, clicking or vibration coming from the ABS pump when braking often signals an internal fault in the hydraulic unit before any warning light comes on.
Intermittent fault due to corroded connectors
Over the years and the miles, the ABS module connectors can corrode and cause faults that do not always recur consistently, a common fault in higher-mileage J10 units.
Traction or stability control warning light on together with the ABS light
The ABS warning may appear together with the traction or stability control light, as both systems usually share the same control unit in the Qashqai.
