307 MODULE
ABS PEUGEOT 307
The Peugeot 307 ABS module controls the hydraulic unit and the sensors on all four wheels, and it is one of the parts that builds up the most faults in this model, due to fatigue of its internal solder joints and moisture getting into the connector. At Nito Motor we carry out Peugeot 307 ABS repair by restoring your own original unit: we rebuild the circuit board and thoroughly overhaul the hydraulic unit without replacing the whole part, so there is nothing to reprogram or adapt when you get it back. This is the Peugeot 307 version for which we repair the ABS module. If you cannot find your car, contact us and we will help you.

WHY DOES IT FAIL?
PEUGEOT 307 ABS FAULT symptoms
The Peugeot 307 does not show the driver a specific ABS fault code either: as it does not display that information in the instrument cluster, the fault is detected by how the warning light reacts and by the behaviour of the brake pedal. These are the symptoms that most often reveal a control unit fault in this model:
ABS warning light permanently on
The Peugeot 307 ABS light stays on in the instrument cluster and does not go out even when you restart the engine, a sign that the control unit has detected an internal fault and has locked out the anti-lock system for safety.
Hard brake pedal or long pedal travel
You will notice that the pedal is harder to press or sinks further than normal, due to a loss of assistance in the hydraulic circuit of the Peugeot 307 ABS unit.
The car pulls to one side when braking
One wheel brakes before the others, especially noticeable on wet tarmac or under hard braking, when the anti-lock system is not working normally.
Fault message on the multifunction display
Together with the warning light, the Peugeot 307 ABS anomaly warning may appear in the instrument cluster, and even a warning beep, indicating that the control unit has switched off as a precaution.
Intermittent fault due to moisture in the connector
In the Peugeot 307 ABS module, corrosion often attacks the control unit’s connector, causing the warning light to come on and go off intermittently, especially after driving in the rain.
The ABS stops intervening under emergency braking
The wheels lock when you brake hard because the Peugeot 307 ABS module has been deactivated, increasing the stopping distance and the risk of an accident.
