Same manufacturer, two different modules
Peugeot does not fit the same ABS to all its cars: depending on the model and year, yours has one module or another.

WHY DOES IT FAIL?
Symptoms of a Peugeot ABS fault
Spotting a Peugeot ABS fault in time can prevent accidents and bigger repairs. The warning appears the same way on a Peugeot 2008 ABS as on a Peugeot 3008 ABS. The most common signs include:
ABS warning light on
The orange or red light stays on in the instrument cluster, usually with the anti-lock system fault message.
Speedometer failure
On many Peugeot models, the ABS control unit manages the speed signal; if it fails, the speedometer stops working.
Unpredictable braking
The braking system does not respond as it should. DTC reading and testing of every hydraulic and electronic channel.
Hard brake pedal
You notice strong resistance when pressing the pedal, which indicates a fault in your Peugeot’s ABS pump.
