LAGUNA MODULE
RENAULT LAGUNA ABS
We repair the ABS module of your Renault Laguna and return your own remanufactured ABS/ESP control unit, with the hydraulic unit and circuit board restored. Our Renault Laguna ABS repair service covers the two generations most common on the road: the Laguna 2 (2001-2007), from which most of the units with a damaged Renault Laguna 2 ABS control unit come, and the Laguna 3 (2007-2015), which is fitted with a Renault Laguna 3 ABS module with a different part number. We work on both petrol and dCi diesel engines, with no need to recode the control unit or rely on a breaker’s yard spare of uncertain compatibility. These are the Renault Laguna versions for which we repair the ABS module. Each one may be fitted with a different module: choose yours and we’ll show you the one it uses. If you can’t find your car, contact us and we’ll help you.
We can't find that model. Escríbenos with the module's part number and we'll tell you if we can repair it.

WHY DOES IT FAIL?
RENAULT LAGUNA ABS FAULT Symptoms
The Renault Laguna has no catalogue of ABS fault codes visible to the user: the fault is identified by the symptoms it causes day to day, especially on Laguna 2 cars that have already clocked up quite a few years of use. If you want to check the Renault Laguna ABS yourself before going to the garage, these are the most common symptoms:
ABS warning light permanently on
The Renault Laguna ABS light stays on in the dashboard and doesn’t go out when you restart the engine, a sign that the control unit has detected a persistent internal fault.
The ABS stops working without warning
On quite a few Laguna 2s the system switches off suddenly without any gradual warning light coming on first. Before suspecting a serious fault it’s worth checking the Renault Laguna 2 ABS fuse, although if the fuse blows again it usually indicates an internal fault in the Renault Laguna 2 ABS module.
Harder brake pedal or irregular pedal travel
The pedal sinks further than normal or is harder to press, due to a loss of pressure in the hydraulic circuit of the Renault Laguna 2 ABS control unit.
Inconsistent braking between wheels
Brake force distribution between the wheels becomes uneven, one of the first symptoms that the Renault Laguna 2 ABS is starting to fail internally.
ESP warning light on together with the ABS light
It comes on at the same time as the ABS warning light because both systems share the same electro-hydraulic control unit in the Renault Laguna.
Intermittent fault due to corroded connectors
On older, higher-mileage cars, especially the Laguna 2, the Laguna 2 ABS control unit connectors can corrode, causing faults that don’t always recur consistently.
