Same manufacturer, two different modules
Citroën does not fit the same ABS to all its cars: depending on the model and year, yours has one module or another.
-
Standard ABS module
The standard ABS fitted to most Citroën models: hydraulic unit, pump and control unit in a single block. We remanufacture it in full and keep its original coding.

ATE MK61 module
The evolution of the MK60 launched by ATE in 2004: hydraulic unit, pump and the control unit for ABS and stability control in a single block. Fitted by many European and Japanese brands.

WHY DOES IT FAIL?
Symptoms of a Citroën ABS fault
Spotting a Citroën ABS fault in time can prevent accidents and bigger repairs. An illuminated Citroën ABS warning light on the dashboard is the warning we see most often at the workshop, but it rarely comes alone. The most common signs include:
ABS warning light on
The Citroën ABS warning light stays on in the instrument cluster, sometimes together with the brake or ESP light.
ESP deactivated due to an internal fault
Stability control is deactivated after an internal module fault and code DF063 is stored.
Unpredictable braking
The braking system does not respond as it should. DTC reading and testing of every hydraulic and electronic channel.
Hard brake pedal
You notice heavy resistance or irregular travel when pressing the pedal, which indicates a fault in your Citroën’s ABS pump.
