FIAT PALIO MODULE
ABS FIAT PALIO
We repair the ABS module of the Fiat Palio and return your own remanufactured unit, with the hydraulic unit and circuit board restored. Our Fiat Palio ABS repair service covers the whole range built between 1996 and 2017, including the Palio Adventure crossover, with particular attention to units from around 2016, one of the years in which this fault recurs most often due to wear on the module connectors. We work on both petrol and diesel engines, with no need to recode the control unit or rely on a breaker’s yard part of uncertain compatibility. This is the Fiat Palio version for which we repair the ABS module. If you can’t find your car, contact us and we’ll help you.

WHY DOES IT FAIL?
Symptoms of a FAULTY FIAT PALIO ABS
The Fiat Palio has no dedicated catalogue of ABS fault codes accessible to the user: the fault is identified through the symptoms it causes, both on the oldest units and on those built around 2016. The most common on this model are:
ABS warning light permanently on
The ABS warning light stays on in the instrument cluster and does not go off. Before suspecting the module, it is worth checking the brake fluid level and the battery condition, as low voltage can trigger the warning light without there being a real fault in the control unit.
Brake pedal with irregular travel or harder than normal
The pedal is harder to press in some braking manoeuvres or gives way differently from one moment to the next, a sign that the control unit is no longer managing the pressure in the hydraulic circuit correctly.
Inconsistent braking between wheels
One wheel brakes earlier or harder than the others, which can be especially noticeable when driving with a loaded boot or several occupants on board.
Noise from the pump or hydraulic unit when braking
A humming or rattling noise coming from the hydraulic unit area when you press the brake usually points to an internal fault in the ABS module’s pump motor.
Corroded connectors due to the vehicle’s age
On older units, especially those built before 2016, it is common for the module connectors to corrode or for the control unit’s internal components to degrade over the years, causing faults that do not always recur consistently.
Frequent use on tracks or dirt roads, typical of the Palio Adventure
Regularly driving on dirt roads, tracks or dustier, damper surfaces exposes the wheel sensors and the control unit itself to tougher conditions than urban use, which can accelerate wear on the internal components over time.
