OUTLANDER MODULE
ABS MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER
We repair the ABS module on your Mitsubishi Outlander by returning your own unit remanufactured, with the circuit board and the return pump restored. We cover all three generations of this crossover: the first (2001-2006), the second (2006-2012) —where the 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander ABS module accounts for a large share of the faults due to wear of its internal components— and the third (2012-2021), in petrol, diesel and PHEV plug-in hybrid versions. If you need a Mitsubishi Outlander ABS repair, we keep your unit’s coding intact for direct plug & play fitting, with no recoding and no reliance on a breaker’s yard part of uncertain reliability. This is the Mitsubishi Outlander version for which we repair the ABS module. If you can’t find your car, contact us and we’ll help you.
We can't find that model. Escríbenos with the module's part number and we'll tell you if we can repair it.

The standard ABS fitted to most Mitsubishi models: hydraulic unit, pump and control unit in a single block. We remanufacture it in full and keep its original coding.

WHY DOES IT FAIL?
MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER ABS FAULT symptoms
The Mitsubishi Outlander doesn’t publish a catalogue of ABS fault codes for the user: the fault is detected by the symptoms it causes, almost always related to ageing of the circuit board and wear of the return pump. The most common, especially on higher-mileage vehicles, are:
ABS and ASC/ESP warning lights permanently on
The ABS symbol comes on together with the stability control (ASC/ESP) symbol and, in many cases, the message «Service required» appears on the instrument cluster display: the control unit has switched itself off for safety.
Intermittent warning before it stays on
Before it comes on permanently, the warning light usually flashes during the first starts of the day: this is the effect of a micro-crack in the circuit board’s solder that has not yet lost contact completely.
Loss of communication with the CAN bus network (common on the second generation)
On second-generation vehicles, and especially on the 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander ABS module, it is common for the control unit to stop responding to the CAN bus or to log incorrect readings from the built-in pressure sensors.
Brake pedal responding differently from usual
Conventional mechanical braking still works, but the pedal responds differently and the wheels can lock earlier than normal without the anti-lock assistance of the Outlander ABS.
Wheel-specific errors versus power supply faults
If the scanner shows a specific error for one wheel, checking the sensor is usually enough; if instead it shows power supply faults in the pump motor or a general lack of communication, the cause lies in the unit itself.
Return pump wear
Over the years, the components of the Mitsubishi Outlander ABS return pump wear out through continuous use, reducing its ability to generate the pressure needed for the anti-lock cycle.
