KYRON MODULE
ABS SSANGYONG KYRON
We repair the ABS module on your SsangYong Kyron and return your own remanufactured control unit, with the hydraulic unit and circuit board restored. The Kyron is an SUV also designed for off-road use and is rarely seen on Spanish roads, so we always work on your own unit rather than relying on a hard-to-find part from a breaker’s yard — especially for the 2006 SsangYong Kyron ABS control unit, one of the years with the most units on the road in Spain. Our SsangYong Kyron ABS repair service also avoids having to recode the control unit, and it fixes the problem on both diesel and petrol versions without you having to hunt for a new or second-hand SsangYong Kyron ABS module. This is the SsangYong Kyron version whose ABS module we repair. If you can’t find your car, contact us and we’ll help you.

WHY DOES IT FAIL?
SSANGYONG KYRON ABS FAULT symptoms
The SsangYong Kyron does not publish a catalogue of ABS fault codes accessible to the user, so the fault is detected by the symptoms it causes. As an SUV also designed for tracks and dirt roads, the hydraulic unit and wheel sensors of the Kyron ABS are exposed to more vibration, mud and moisture than in purely urban use, which over the years can loosen connections or speed up wear on certain internal components of the module. The most common symptoms of a faulty SsangYong Kyron ABS module are:
ABS warning light on in the instrument cluster
First of all, it is worth checking the brake fluid level and the condition of the Kyron’s battery: low voltage can activate the ABS warning light even if the control unit has no real fault.
Hard brake pedal or irregular pedal travel
The pedal feels harder under some braking and softer under other, a typical sign that the ABS module is no longer regulating the pressure in the hydraulic circuit correctly.
Inconsistent braking between wheels
The vehicle veers to one side when braking because one wheel receives more pressure than the others, a common sign that the ABS control unit has started to fail.
Traction or stability warning light alongside the ABS light
On the Kyron both systems share the same control unit, so an internal module fault usually lights up the ABS warning light and the traction or stability control light at the same time.
Intermittent fault due to the vehicle’s age
On units with more years of use, the ABS module connectors can corrode, or the internal components of the control unit can degrade, causing faults that do not always recur consistently.
Greater wear due to off-road use
As an SUV also designed for tracks and dirt roads, the Kyron’s wheel sensors and the ABS control unit itself are exposed to more vibration, mud and moisture than in purely urban use, which over time can speed up their wear.
