WHY DOES IT FAIL?
Infiniti ABS fault symptoms
Spotting an Infiniti ABS fault in time can prevent accidents and bigger repairs. The Infiniti ABS warning light on the dashboard is the warning we hear about most often at the centre, but it rarely comes alone. A faulty ABS on an Infiniti can show up in several ways; the most common signs include:
ABS warning light on
The Infiniti ABS warning light stays on in the instrument cluster, often together with the brake fluid level light or with intelligent cruise control disabled.
Internal ABS module fault
The diagnostic tool logs code C1170, a fault in the ABS actuator itself that the official diagnosis interprets as replacing the control unit, although in most cases it can be repaired.
Unpredictable braking
The braking system does not respond as it should. DTC reading and testing of every hydraulic and electronic channel.
Hard brake pedal
You notice strong resistance or irregular travel when pressing the pedal, which indicates a fault in your Infiniti’s ABS pump, logged as C1111 or C1189.
