WHY DOES IT FAIL?
Symptoms of a Lancia ABS fault
Spotting a Lancia ABS fault in time can prevent accidents and bigger repairs. The Lancia ABS warning light on in the instrument cluster is the warning we see most often in the workshop, but it rarely comes alone: a Lancia ABS sensor that stops sending a signal, moisture built up in the hydraulic unit of a car that has been standing for a long time or a pump motor that no longer responds can show up in several ways. The most common signs of a faulty ABS on a Lancia are:
ABS warning light on
The Lancia ABS warning light stays on in the instrument cluster even though the car still brakes normally: the anti-lock system is disabled.
ABS pump circuit fault
The pump motor stops responding and the unit logs C0110, a genuine circuit fault that prevents the anti-lock system of your Lancia from working.
Unpredictable braking
The braking system does not respond as it should. DTC reading and testing of every hydraulic and electronic channel.
Loss of communication with the ABS module
The unit logs U0121 and the car’s other modules stop communicating with the ABS control unit of your Lancia, with general fault symptoms even though the fault is located only in the brake module.
