SWIFT MODULE
ABS SUZUKI SWIFT
We repair the ABS module on your Suzuki Swift and return your own remanufactured control unit, with the hydraulic unit and circuit board restored. Our Suzuki Swift ABS repair service focuses especially on the MZ/EZ generation (2005-2010), the one that records the most Suzuki Swift ABS module faults in our workshop, although we also repair modules from earlier and later generations of the model. The Suzuki Swift ABS pump is integrated in the same housing as the Suzuki Swift ABS control unit, so when either part fails the repair is carried out on the complete assembly. This part is also sometimes searched for as “abs kocka suzuki swift”, although the correct name is ABS module or control unit. At Nito Motor you can have your Suzuki Swift ABS module repaired without having to recode the control unit or rely on a part from a breaker’s yard of uncertain compatibility. This is the Suzuki Swift version whose ABS module we repair. If you can’t find your car, contact us and we’ll help you.

WHY DOES IT FAIL?
SUZUKI SWIFT ABS FAULT symptoms
The Suzuki Swift does not have an ABS fault code visible to the user without diagnostic equipment: a Suzuki Swift ABS problem is normally detected by the symptoms it causes in everyday driving. If you want to check the Suzuki Swift ABS yourself before going to the garage, these are the most common Suzuki Swift ABS fault symptoms:
ABS warning light permanently on
The warning light stays on in the instrument cluster and does not go off when the engine is restarted. Before suspecting the module, it is worth checking the brake fluid level and the condition of the battery: low voltage can activate the warning light without there being a real fault in the control unit.
Common fault on 2005 to 2009 Swifts due to age
With the years and the miles, it is common for the Suzuki Swift ABS module connectors to corrode or for the internal components of the control unit to degrade. It is one of the most frequent faults on a 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 or 2009 Suzuki Swift ABS, and in particular many units arrive at the workshop with a 2007 or 2008 Suzuki Swift ABS module.
Brake pedal with irregular travel or harder
The pedal sinks further than normal or is harder to press, due to a loss of pressure in the hydraulic circuit managed by the Suzuki Swift ABS pump.
Inconsistent braking between wheels
One wheel brakes earlier or harder than the others, which is especially noticeable on wet surfaces or under sudden braking — one of the clearest symptoms of a Suzuki Swift ABS fault.
Strange noises from the pump or hydraulic unit
A humming, clicking or vibration when you press the brake usually points to an internal fault in the Suzuki Swift ABS pump, which is integrated in the same module as the electronics, not in the pads or discs.
Intermittent fault due to corroded connectors
On units with more years and miles, it is common for the Suzuki Swift ABS control unit connectors to corrode and the warning light to come on intermittently instead of staying on.
