WHY DOES IT FAIL?
Symptoms of a faulty Mazda ABS
Spotting a Mazda ABS fault in time can prevent accidents and bigger repairs. The Mazda ABS warning light on the dashboard is the warning we hear about most at the workshop, but it rarely comes alone. The most common signs include:
ABS warning light on
The Mazda ABS warning light stays on in the instrument cluster, often alongside the DSC light.
Speedometer failure
On many Mazda models, the ABS control unit handles the speed signal; if it fails, the speedometer stops working.
Unpredictable braking
The braking system does not respond as it should. DTC reading and testing of every hydraulic and electronic channel.
Hard brake pedal
You notice strong resistance when pressing the pedal, which points to a fault in your Mazda’s ABS pump.
