308 MODULE
ABS PEUGEOT 308
The Peugeot 308 ABS module combines the electronic control unit and the hydraulic unit that distributes braking pressure to all four wheels, and it is a part that takes a particular beating in this model due to corrosion of the connector and wear of the pump brushes. At Nito Motor we carry out Peugeot 308 ABS repair on your own original unit: we rebuild the circuit board and overhaul the hydraulic unit without replacing the whole part, so you get it back ready to fit with no need to recode anything. This is the Peugeot 308 version for which we repair the ABS module. If you cannot find your car, contact us and we will help you.

WHY DOES IT FAIL?
PEUGEOT 308 ABS FAULT symptoms
The Peugeot 308 does not always turn an ABS fault into a fault code visible to the driver, so you need to watch how the dashboard warning light behaves and how the brake pedal responds. These are the symptoms that most often reveal a faulty Peugeot 308 ABS:
ABS warning light on together with the brake warning
The Peugeot 308 ABS light stays on in the instrument cluster and, in the most serious cases, is accompanied by the Peugeot 308 “braking system faulty” message on the multifunction display, a sign that the control unit has gone into safe mode.
ABS/ESP fault message in the instrument cluster
A Peugeot 308 ABS ESP fault on the display indicates that the anti-lock and stability systems have both been deactivated at the same time, although the cause may be a dirty wheel sensor rather than the control unit itself.
Hard brake pedal or long pedal travel
You will notice that the pedal is harder to press or sinks further than normal, due to a loss of assistance in the hydraulic circuit of the Peugeot 308 ABS unit.
The car pulls to one side when braking
One wheel brakes before the others, especially noticeable on wet tarmac or under hard braking, when the anti-lock system is not working normally.
Blown ABS relay or maxi fuse
Before suspecting the control unit, it is worth checking the Peugeot 308 ABS relay and the maxi fuses in the engine compartment, which supply the hydraulic pump with the current it needs.
The ABS stops intervening under emergency braking
The wheels lock when you brake hard because the module has been deactivated, increasing the stopping distance and the risk of losing control of the vehicle.
