If we can’t repair it and don’t offer you a solution, we don’t charge you anything: we return your part to you at no cost whatsoever.

It is essential to drain all the brake fluid before packing it, to avoid spills and corrosion of the electronics in transit. Protect the ABS well and put it in a box suited to its size with plenty of padding. We’ll take care of the collection.

The €600 includes specialist labour, the necessary internal spare parts (brushes, seals, electronic components, etc.) and the final test on the test bench. 21% VAT is added to this price. Shipping costs €25 if you want us to collect and deliver the module at the address you give us.

There are two types of FTE Integral ABS, analogue and digital. On both, most errors show up on the warning light: on the older ones with two bulbs and on the modern ones in the instrument panel itself, in yellow or red. If the lights flash quickly or the warning light is red, the error is critical and it is very dangerous to ride the motorcycle. If the light stays on steadily on the older model, the problem is usually in the electronics and riding is not advisable either.

If the flashing is slower or the warning light is yellow, it is usually a minor problem (normally low brake fluid level). It needs checking, but the vehicle can be used with caution. The ABS internal fluid usually drops because of brake pad wear or because the motorcycle has been lying on its side after a fall.

This ABS relies on an electronic system that generates pressure using DC motors with high-pressure pumps. If the ABS has an error, that assistance is cancelled and the system switches to purely hydraulic emergency operation, with an extremely hard brake feel. As riders are used to assisted braking, the sudden change is dangerous and can even happen in the middle of braking. We recommend not using the vehicle and contacting a professional.

When the brake servo makes no sound, in most cases the ABS is faulty. Even so, it is sometimes because the system can’t carry out its initial check: if it detects that you are braking when the ignition is switched on, it doesn’t carry it out and the ABS isn’t activated. This can be caused by something as simple as the brake light switches. It is worth checking that first and, if it is fine, taking the module to a technical repair centre.

Yes. Because of the complexity of this ABS, the fault often occurs only occasionally. It is very important to define clearly how and when it happens so that we can replicate those conditions in our simulator: as well as installing the Nito Servopro Kit, we need to find the exact fault in order to verify that it has been 100% fixed.

They are the most delicate part of the system. At Nito Motor we have made more than five different versions to achieve one of far better quality than the original, with greater durability.

On the Integral FTE I, electronic faults are common: activation components which, because of defects in peripheral parts (motors, solenoid valves…), cause short circuits that sometimes damage the PCB itself. Software faults are also common on the digital models. For all these problems we have standardised solutions that restore the electronics to an as-new condition; in the worst case, replacement electronics are used, and we let you know beforehand because there is an extra cost.

Yes. The repair comes with a 12-month certified warranty, with no mileage limit.

Important:

• Nito Motor S.L. will only be liable for the correct operation of the device during that period.
• Nito Motor S.L. will not be liable for the cost of fitting and removing the modulator during the warranty period; this cost will be borne by the workshop or the end customer.
• The warranty will be void if there are clear signs that the ABS module contains any fluid other than brake fluid (water, cleaning solvent…). We recommend never cleaning the module with a pressure washer.
