WHY DOES IT FAIL?
SEAT ABS fault symptoms
Spotting a SEAT ABS fault in time can prevent accidents and bigger repairs. The SEAT ABS light on in the instrument cluster is the warning we hear about most at the workshop, but it rarely comes alone: a SEAT ABS sensor that stops sending a signal, or a control unit that misreads the signal it receives, can show up in several ways. The most common signs of a faulty ABS on a SEAT are:
ABS warning light on
The SEAT ABS light stays on in the instrument cluster and, before looking at the control unit, it is worth checking the maxi fuses located above the battery: code 01276 for the hydraulic pump motor (V64) often originates there. If the fuse is fine, or blows again after being replaced, the fault is inside the module.
Internal ABS module fault
The scanner logs code 16352 / 01130, an internal electrical fault in the ABS control unit (J104) that points to the circuit board of the control unit itself, not to a sensor or external wiring.
Unpredictable braking
The braking system does not respond as it should. DTC reading and testing of every hydraulic and electronic channel.
Loss of communication with the engine control unit
The diagnostic tool logs 01316 / U0121 and the engine control module cannot communicate with your SEAT’s ABS. It may come from the CAN bus wiring, corroded connectors or a voltage drop, but also from an internal fault in the module itself.

Why choose our ABS control unit repair over a new one?
TYPICAL SEAT ABS FAULTS WE REPAIR
Most common SEAT DTC codes
Electrical fault or implausible reading in the front left speed sensor (G47)
Electrical fault or implausible reading in the front right speed sensor (G45)
Electrical fault or implausible reading in the rear left speed sensor (G46)
Electrical fault or implausible reading in the rear right speed sensor (G44)
Fault in the ABS hydraulic pump motor (V64). It is usually caused by blown fuses (check the maxi fuses above the battery) or worn motor brushes
Internal electrical fault in the ABS control unit (J104). In the vast majority of cases the module has to be sent off for rebuilding or replaced entirely
Problem with the ABS return pump (V39)
Implausible reading from brake pressure sensor 1 (G201). In SEAT's MK60 modules, this sensor is soldered inside the hydraulic block, which makes repairing it more complicated
Fault or lack of calibration in the steering angle sensor (G85). It is a classic code that appears after changing the car's battery, doing a wheel alignment or removing the steering wheel
The engine control module has no communication with the ABS module. It generally points to a problem in the CAN bus wiring, corroded connectors or a severe voltage drop in the electrical system
